This site was created by filmmaker/video producer, Patrick Rea, to explore a new art form... That of adapting Rare Classic Art Lenses to Modern Professional Digital Cameras to create mind blowing images that were never meant to exist.

During the Golden Age Of Photography (60's, 70's, 80's) "Character" and Bokeh were everything (today it is autofocus), and brands like Nikon, Pentax, and Zeiss were at war, with the portrait focal lengths (35mm-135mm) being their battle ground... Today the world is rediscovering these jewels that are in many ways superior to modern lenses.

What makes a lens a Classic? The same thing that makes a car a classic... "art." The difference is Classic Cars ARE art, whereas Classic Lenses MAKE art.

The optical formulas of a 50mm Nikor, Takumar, Helios, or Pancolar rendered a unique aesthetic that is as distinguishable as a 69 Camero is from a 69 Ferrari. Tease out the character with Lightroom or photoshop and art happens!
